The Galaxy S8 held up toward the viewer in a person’s hand.

Google recently announced that its Daydream VR system is finally coming to a mainstream flagship smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. This means that Galaxy S8 users will have two major VR ecosystems to choose from, Google’s Daydream and Samsung’s own Gear VR. So, which one is better?

For those looking to jump into VR but unsure which headset to buy, The Verge has a simple breakdown to help you decide. The Daydream is more seamless for using your favorite Google apps with VR, such as Chrome and Youtube, but is still lacking in apps and games compared to Gear VR. Gear VR has a much fuller selection of VR apps and content, which makes the better choice for right now, despite its $50 higher price.

However, given that these mobile VR headsets are relatively cheap and often offered as free add-ons, you may be able to get both at a discounted price with a little research and good luck.
